Nexo P Series

Nexo introduces the P12, a versatile multi-purpose loudspeaker and the company’s first 12-inch cabinet. Paired with the new L15 subwoofer, the P12 is designed for a wide range of sound reinforcement applications, combining cutting-edge technology, a sleek modern design, and high-performance specifications for maximum versatility.
Inside the curvilinear enclosure crafted from custom birch and poplar plywood, the P12 features a purpose-built 12-inch LF Neodymium driver and a 3-inch diaphragm HF driver in a coaxial configuration. The compact cabinet measures 531 mm x 432 mm x 317 mm, with a frequency response of 60 Hz – 20 kHz and an SPL of 138 dB Peak (passive) / 140 dB Peak (active mode).
A standout design feature allows users to customize the P12 to their specific needs: the horn flanges are interchangeable, offering a variety of directivity patterns – from the standard 60° x 60° to 90° x 40° or an asymmetrical 50° – 100° x 40°. (The interchangeable flanges are sold as optional accessories.)
Switching between directivity patterns takes just 15 seconds, requiring only the removal of the steel grille with a coin and replacing the flare, which uses a magnetic attachment system.
Weighing less than 20 kg, the ergonomically designed P12 includes side carry handles, a pole-mount fitting with a Speakon connector for clean cable management, and threaded inserts for mounting accessories. The P12 can be used on a pole-mount with the L15 subwoofer cabinet, wall-mounted, or flown in landscape mode beneath the L15 enclosure using a specially designed yoke bracket.
Nexo anticipates that one of the primary applications for the P12 will be as a versatile wedge monitor speaker on stage. Its variable directivity feature effectively triples the utility of any P12 floor monitor inventory. Built to withstand the rigors of touring and stage monitoring, the cabinet features a durable grille and a newly designed scratch-resistant paint finish. Joseph Carcopino, Nexo’s head of R&D, describes the new paint process as “100 times better than before,” ensuring the P12 is ready for use in all climate conditions.
“The P12 monitor has a lower profile and is undeniably more stylish than any competing product,” says Denis Baudier, Nexo’s sales director. “For vocalists, the cabinet’s angle provides better dispersion, and the variable dispersion allows each box to be precisely tailored to its user, whether it’s the lead guitarist, the horn section, or backing vocalists.”
With a rear switch, the P12 can be reconfigured from Passive mode to Active mode, achieving 140 dB Peak SPL. This is the first Nexo speaker specifically designed to leverage the processing capabilities of Nexo’s new NXAMP4x2mk2 amplifier, though it remains fully compatible with the larger NXAMP4x4. The NXAMP4x2mk2 offers precise processing with separate setups for each directivity pattern.
To complement the P12, Nexo is also launching the L15 subwoofer cabinet, designed with a matching footprint for flown applications or as a drumfill. Featuring a new acoustic load with a 15-inch bass horn, the L15 is engineered for maximum efficiency and output, as nearly the entire front face of the cabinet serves as a radiating surface. The frequency range is 40 Hz-120 Hz, with a Peak SPL of 139 dB.
Both the Touring and Installation versions of the P12 and its L15 partner will be available in black and white scratch-resistant paint finishes. The Installation version of the P12 comes with TUV and IP54 certification.
